Chapter 2257: Danger of the Under Depths



"I have collected everything." Altum stated but he suddenly felt the water below shifting upwards.

"Run! I mean Swim!" Adrian exclaimed as he caught a glimpse of the monster that is now swimming upwards towards them.

Adrian told Kanlaon to swim as fast as he can, and he even boosted all of them using temporal magic. A large figure could be seen rising from the depths of the water and it was incredibly large. It was a monster that looked like a gigantic electric eel, but it is actually bigger than Kanlaon's true size.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Oh! Have you guys got all the dropped items?" Ark asked but he also saw the large monster rising from the dark abyss below them.

"Time to go!" Adrian stated as he immediately conjured a portal and had Altum toss them inside of it.

Kanlaon even created a small vortex to at least delay the monster that is pursuing them, but it vanished as soon as it clashed with the body of the large electric eel monster. The water vortex only made it angrier instead as it started to release sparks around its body that charged the ocean itself. Thankfully, Altum is quick on his swimming as he managed to carry Ark, Lilith and the Angel Raphael towards the portal.

As soon as the others were inside the portal, Adrian sealed Kanlaon back and it was with great timing. The large electric eel monster was about to bite off the latter's tail. Adrian knows how precious the parts of Kanlaon's body is and he did not want to suddenly trigger a draconic mutation to a monster that lives at the Under Depths. As soon as Adrian was an inch close to the gate, he froze time for a split second and dipped inside of the portal.

Time resumed as soon as Adrian entered the portal, and he arrived at the other side. He even felt the wet floor and slipped but he immediately fixed himself so he can close the portal. The monster on the other side tried to use its ability to create electric currents to check if the peculiar beings are still there but it no longer detected them. The large electric eel returned back to the dark abyss of the Under Depths.

"That was incredibly close!" Altum stated.

"What was that thing?!" Ark asked.

"I do not know but my instincts immediately told me to run as soon as I saw it. Thanks to the guild leader! If he did not notice that thing immediately then we would have been fish food." Altum stated.

"My senses are not as sharp in water which is why it was able to get close to us. I also do not have Sirius to help me which is why the dangers are delayed in getting sensed. Still, you managed to save those three which is why you are awesome in your own right." Adrian stated as he knew that he might have failed in saving the others if not for Altum.

"The guild leader is the one that saved us all in the end. Still, I managed to get to the Under Depths! I even learned a path towards it which means I can explore more! In fact, I think I want to explore it now. Unless you need my help in the following quests you are doing, I am totally fine delaying my exploration." Altum stated with excitement even though they were about to get eaten by a large fish earlier.

"Do we have anymore follow up quests though?" Adrian asked Ark.

"Does the other five detect where their powers could be sealed?" Ark asked the other angels, but they could only shake their heads in disappointment.

"Maybe we should try that locating spell on all of them just to be sure." Adrian stated to which Ark and Lilith agreed.

Since the Angel Gabriel and the Angel Raphael have gotten their powers back, they also added their own powers into the magic circle as well. The angels activated the light element part of the spell while the Nephilim activated the darkness element part of it. Doing it this way made the tracking spell have less backlash and mana usage. An additional bonus is that they easily fitted all five of the remaining angel's power signature in the spell.

"Nothing." Ark stated as he detected nothing.

"I do not have any reaction as well." Lilith added.

"No reaction for us as well." The baby angels stated.

"I guess I will just contact the guild leader again if something comes up. Also, thank you for your help, bro." Ark stated as he did a fist bump with Altum.

"No worries as it was a thrilling quest that involved going to the Under Depths! I could not have anything else that I would have wanted." Altum stated.

"So, we agreed that you would be given compensation for this. What do you want? Guild points? Contribution points?" Adrian stated as he looked at Altum.

"Can you send me to the Under Depths?" Altum stated which made Adrian question if that is what he really wanted.

"Are you sure?" Adrian asked as this was such a simple request for such a vast amount of help that Altum provided.

"I would like nothing more! What if I could find an ancient civilization down there?! I want to explore it even more now that my imagination is running wild." Altum stated as his beady eyes glistened with his pure enthusiasm.

"You should expect the unexpected and to also control your expectations. If you wish to explore the Under Depths, then I can send you there but that is not enough." Adrian stated as he took out some paper and started to write something on it.

"This is the coordinates for Under Depth part earlier. Just show this document to any demon teleporter in Avalon and they will send you there without question. Just make sure not to tell the others about this since this is basically an all-express pass for teleportation to that specific area." Adrian stated as he handed the document to Altum.
